Making Sense, located in South Somerset, provides mullti-sensory private tuition for children of primary and secondary school age. Additionally, tuition and therapeutic support for individuals of all ages, who may have special educational needs such as Dyslexia, Asperger's Syndrome, Dyspraxia and speech, language and communication difficulties.

Children have a natural desire to explore and learn but an individual's ability to access education, or simply to realise their potential, can be compromised by their individual learning style, school environment or special educational needs. 

As a private tutor, I work hard to sustain that vital sense of fun in my approach to life and learning for the benefit of my students, with or without special educational needs.  I focus on the whole person and utilise a carefully selected portfolio of multi-sensory learning resources, activities and tips, underpinned by the theme of understanding and enabling the individual.

Some of the resources used are also available for purchase - active and multi-sensory learning helps to stimulate motivation, self-esteem and memory - applicable for ages 0 to 90+.
